Noise Solution

Over years of working with the Local Authority helping at risk youth, Simon saw that interventions worked best when the young people felt like they had a say in the programme, when they felt included in the creation of the interventions rather than a subject of them, and when the focus was taken away from ‘what was wrong’ in their lives and instead showcased what they were doing well. This experience, in addition to his extensive experience as a professional musician with a specialism in music tech, led to the creation of Noise Solutions face-to-face programmes which remain at the core of Noise Solutions delivery.

Oaks Rise

We are an autistic-led learning centre for autistic children in Years 5 to 9. We provide nine hours of small group tuition, per pupil, per week across academic, wellbeing and collaboration. Oaks Rise utilises a low-demand approach to all activities, meaning that learners are welcome to join activities or to work independently. This helps learners to feel safe in the knowledge that they have autonomy in the learning environment. Each session at Oaks Rise involves a mix of group work, individual project-based work and, if learners wish, more traditional ‘work-book’ style learning.
