There are many children for whom mainstream educaton is not suited due to mental health conditions, neurodiversity and a plethora of other reasons. Lack of alternatives force these children and their families to spend what should be happy and formative years under immense strain and turn out young people who do not believe they are capable, worthy individuals. Kinda Education aim to provide education in which children not only survive but thrive – to become adults who are fulfilled and an asset to their communities.

Green Light Trust’s Natural Alternative Provision & Inclusion Programme is designed for children and young people that may be struggling in mainstream education, providing the perfect space for personal growth from Key stage 2 primary age and above, including full EHCP Provision for post 16. They take learners from their ‘normal’ environment with their usual environmental cues and introduce them to a woodland space, where they can start to develop positive change patterns of behaviour and start to identify underlying skills and attributes to support them on a positive pathway.

EM Tuition provides part-time education for young people displaying a wide range of complex barriers to education, including those who are excluded or at risk of exclusion and those with social, emotional and mental health needs or special educational needs. From designing customised curriculum plans to providing expert teaching support, they are committed to delivering exceptional educational experiences that empower students to reach their full potential.

Depden’s award-wining care farm supports adults and young people with additional needs to progress and live fulfilling lives by providing learning programmes and meaningful work opportunities in animal husbandry, agriculture and horticulture.
